Privacy Policy

At Deeps Labs, we protect and respect your privacy and are committed to safeguarding your personal data. This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, share, and store information through the Family Together application, intended for tracking the location of people and vehicles by families or companies.

When reviewing this Policy, please note that it applies to the websites, mobile applications (Family Together), help centre, and other associated services we provide (“Services”) from Deep Labs, Lda. (“Family Together”, “we”, “our” or “us”). It also applies to Family Together physical devices (for example, trackers and partner products integrating Family Together technology) as well as other products, such as tags (“Products”).

Before accessing or using our Products and/or Services, please ensure you have read this Policy and understand how we collect, store, use, and disclose your personal information as described here.

     1. INFORMATION WE COLLECT

     A. Information you provide to us directly

When you create or modify a Family Together account, update your preferences, purchase and/or activate a Product, contact us (including via social media or our Help Centre), participate in an online survey, or otherwise interact with Family Together Products and Services, we may collect a variety of information, including:

  • Account Information: Your username, email address, first name, last name, date of birth, mobile phone number, password, shipping and billing addresses, and activated Products. You may also choose to provide a photo to associate with your Family Together account or your Products, where applicable.
  • Identity Verification: In certain circumstances, for example depending on the features of our Products and Services that you use or based on your age and country of residence, we may take steps to verify that a parent or legal guardian has consented to a child’s use of the Services. We work with an identity verification provider who may collect information or an image of an official identification document or an image of you (for example, a selfie), which may be used with facial recognition technology. (Note: the digital age of consent may vary by jurisdiction, and Family Together may adjust our parental consent process accordingly).
  • Transaction Information: When you purchase an additional service, we collect your first and last name and/or a shipping address, where applicable. Any payment information provided is processed by the relevant billing and/or payment processor. We may also collect information such as the version of the Product or subscription service you are using, the date and time you activated your account, the duration of your subscription, data related to any subscription cancellation requests, and any in-app purchases you may make.
  • Optional Account Information: We may collect information when you customize features within our Products or Services (for example, labelling locations on the Family Together app map, using “Smart Alerts,” or providing emergency information about the user of a device).
  • Feedback and Social Interactions with us: We collect information when you provide feedback to Family Together or interact with us, such as when you comment on a post on our blog or tag Family Together in a social media post.

Other Information you provide to us: Information you provide in response to surveys about our Products or Services, any information about your friends that you provide to us, information you provide when requesting support, such as your name, email address, phone number, address, and records (including call recordings) as well as technical information related to issues you may have experienced.

     B. Information We Collect Automatically When You Use or Interact with Our Products and Services

We and our service providers may collect other information when you use our Products and Services, such as:

  • Device Information: Includes information about your device, hardware, and software, such as mobile device identifiers, operating system, IP address or browser information (including browser type and language preference), device brand/model, Wi-Fi connection, battery status, and advertising identifiers.
  • Location and Motion Information: With your consent, we collect precise geolocation data (including GPS coordinates and latitude/longitude information) through your mobile device or our Products that transmit precise geolocation data. We also collect information about your location, such as city or postal code, inferred from your IP address, as well as information obtained through technologies such as Wi-Fi and Bluetooth.
  • Driving Event and Motion Activity Information: Includes information about how and where you are moving, such as speed, altitude, and direction, collected through technology built into your mobile device, such as gyroscope, accelerometer, compass, and Bluetooth. This information indicates, for example, whether you are cycling, walking, running, or driving, your speed of movement, and whether you are accelerating or decelerating.

Information Collected Through Tracking Technologies: When you use our Products or Services, such as when using our apps, visiting our websites, or reading our emails, we and our partners may use various technologies, including cookies, web beacons, pixels, clear GIFs, log files, embedded scripts, SDKs, location identification technologies, or other tracking/logging tools (collectively referred to as “Tracking Technologies”), to collect some of the information described in this section, as well as other information about your activity on our Services, such as links you click on, features you use, and actions you take on our Services, whether you open emails or click on links contained in them, ads you view or click on, information about your activity on specific pages of our websites, such as mouse movements and keystrokes, and app performance data. We may combine this information with other personal data we collect about you.

     C. Member Messages and Content

We collect information when you send messages to other members of your Circle using our Services, as well as any photos or videos you send via messages within the app to other members of your Circles. With your permission, we may also access your photos or your mobile device’s gallery/camera.

     D. Information Provided by Third Parties

We may receive information about you from other sources. If you link another account to your Family Together account, we receive information from the companies that provide those services. For example, when you connect your Family Together account to a voice assistant such as Google Assistant or Alexa, we may collect precise geolocation data from all devices or tags located by the assistant for members who have linked their account to that service.

     E. Information We Infer

We may also infer information or draw conclusions based on other data we collect, including precise geolocation data. For example, we may predict that you would be interested in certain offers or send you specific reminders based on how you have previously interacted with our Services or your typical movement patterns.

     3. ADVERTISING ACTIVITIES

We engage third parties to provide analytics services, display advertisements, and perform related activities on our Services, as well as to advertise our Products and Services on unaffiliated websites and services. For this purpose, Family Together uses information we collect about you and your activity on our Services. We use this information, sometimes combined with other information we receive from third parties, to select the ads you see on our Services.

We also disclose certain information, such as identifiers, activity and device information collected through Tracking Technologies, and a hashed version of your email address, to advertising partners both to select relevant ads to show you on our Services and to deliver targeted advertising on other companies’ websites or mobile apps, to understand the effectiveness of that advertising, to analyze and monitor data, and to better understand your activity.

You have control over these practices. In our mobile applications, you can disable them by following the instructions available via the “Your Privacy Choices” link in the Privacy & Security section of the settings menu or by using the controls available through your mobile device’s operating system. When you use these controls, we will also stop disclosing your information to our business partners for their own use, as described below.

     4. INFORMATION WE DISCLOSE

We, or you, may disclose your information to different Family Together Services, our subsidiaries, and third parties for our or their purposes, as described below.

     A. Disclosure to Others in Your Family Together Circle or Friends

You may choose to disclose your personal information to other members of your Family Together Circles, including:

Additionally, other members of your Circles may disclose your personal information in certain circumstances. For example, if a Circle member enables voice actions on services such as Google Assistant or Alexa-enabled devices, your personal information (including name, Tile name, and last known location of each Tile) may be displayed to Circle members on screen or provided via audio response on any device with that functionality enabled.

To prevent this data disclosure, you should ask the Circle member to disconnect their account from voice-enabled devices, or you may leave the Circle shared with that member.

If another user uploads their contact list and you are in it, we may notify you that you are a Family Together member. You can choose not to be suggested to people who have your contact information.

     B. Information Posted on Our Blogs, Community Forums, or Other Public Websites

Any information or content you voluntarily submit or post on Family Together websites or blogs, in community forums, or comments you post on our Facebook page (or other social media pages) will automatically become publicly available. We may publicly post your reviews and comments on our website or mobile application, or link your reviews to third-party websites.

We are not responsible for any information you choose to provide on social media pages, nor for any content or communications you receive as a result of sharing such information.

We may, at any time, buy or sell/divest the company, or any part or combination of its products, services, assets, and/or businesses. Personal information, such as members’ names and email addresses, and other information related to our Services, may be among the information transferred in these types of transactions. We may disclose, transfer, or assign such information as part of corporate divestitures, mergers, acquisitions, bankruptcy proceedings, dissolutions, or similar transactions or proceedings.

     G. Law Enforcement, Regulators, and Other Entities for Legal Reasons

We may disclose personal information to third parties (including, but not limited to, law enforcement authorities, other government entities, or civil litigants) when required by law or subpoena, or if we determine (in our sole discretion) that disclosure is necessary to: (a) comply with the law, legal processes, or investigate, prevent, or take action regarding suspected or illegal activities; (b) enforce our Terms of Service, this Privacy Policy, take precautions against liability, investigate and defend ourselves against claims or allegations, or protect the security or integrity of our website; and/or (c) exercise or protect the rights, property, or personal safety of Family Together, our employees, members, or others.

     H. Aggregated Information

We provide certain business partners with aggregated information that is anonymized and combined with similar data from other users, which cannot reasonably be associated with or used to identify any individual, household, or device. These partners may use this information for their own business purposes, such as market analysis or research. We provide you with controls over this activity, as described below.

     5. YOUR CHOICES ABOUT YOUR INFORMATION

We believe in transparency and in giving you the opportunity to make important decisions about how your information is used, processed, stored, and shared.

As described above, we provide aggregated information to selected business partners for their own use. You can opt out of having your information aggregated and used for these purposes through the option available in your Family Together app account by clicking “Settings”.

      C. Family Together Communications

We may periodically send you promotional newsletters and emails. You can opt out of receiving these communications by following the unsubscribe instructions included in the emails.      6. OUR POLICY REGARDING CHILDREN

Family Together takes special precautions to protect the privacy of our younger members. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children who do not meet the applicable minimum age without verifiable parental or guardian consent. Our Services are intended to be used by children only with significant supervision and approval from a parent or legal guardian.

If Family Together becomes aware that it has inadvertently collected personal information from a child without parental consent, we will take appropriate steps to delete such information.      A. Creating an Account for a Child

If a parent or guardian wishes to add a minor as a member, we require verifiable consent—this may include ID verification during account creation or submission of a parental consent form, available upon request. Once verified, the child may participate in most of Family Together’s services. In some cases, our Products are designed to be used by both children and pets. By providing our Products to a child, you represent and warrant that you consent to the child’s use of our Products and Services and authorize the collection and use of generated data, as described in this Policy and our Terms of Service.

We may disclose a child’s personal information to vendors, service providers, and partners who offer integrated services, as described in this Policy. We do not sell or share children’s personal information, nor do we display advertisements in child accounts. Profile and location information may be shared with other members of Circles the child participates in. Please note that the child may communicate with these members. It is the responsibility of the parent or guardian to monitor the child’s activity and manage location-sharing settings.

     D. Contact Us About Your Child’s Account or Information

Parents or guardians have the right to request a review or deletion of their child’s personal information and may withdraw consent for future data collection. To do so, please contact us at support@teletabweb.com. Proper identification will be required to process such requests.
